Hydrocodone and Hair Loss

I’m a guy who’s been using hydrocodone for chronic back pain for a few years. Lately I’ve noticed my hair is thinning considerably.
Is there a connection between hydrocodone and hair loss?

There is no proven connection between hydrocodone and hair loss. Your thinning hair is most likely the result of genetic male-pattern balding, but you could see a dermatologist to make sure.

  2. Corey Says:

Hydrocodone is linked to lowered testosterone levels, which could actually prevent head hair loss. You might want to get your levels checked.
