Foods that Cause Hair Loss?

A friend of mine told me that she once lost a lot of her hair because she ate too much chocolate.

Can this really happen?

Are there foods that cause hair loss?

In general, some foods can help make hair strong and less fragile, while others damage it.

Chocolate, specifically, has relatively high quantities of copper and excess copper is a known cause for hair loss. That’s why, in large quantities, eating chocolate can lead to hair loss.

There aren’t any foods that cause hair loss – Only those that can damage hair if they are consumed in excess.

These include: foods (and beverages) with a high sugar content, alcohol, salt, tofu and fatty foods.
