Causes of Hair Loss in Women Over 40

I am 39 and I am worried about my thinning hair.
What are the causes of hair loss in women over 40? Can these be prevented or treated?

  1. Corey Says:

There aren’t a lot of different causes of hair loss in women over 40, the main reason is hormonal changes, lower estrogen levels and relatively higher levels of testosterone.

Controlling raging hormone levels during menopause can help treat and even prevent hair loss. However, in general, hair does become thinner as we age, so any treatment might not be 100% effective.
